For Suse -> list of compatibe versions:
http://www.suse.de/us/support/oracle/ and
i installed oracle on suse 8.0 (no problems)
About Reh Hat. I installed 9.2.0 on Red hat 7.2 with out any
problems. But u have to check version of glibc for RH 7.2 and 7.3.

Is 7.3 officially certified running with Oracle 9i yet ????
Please advise

As I know, Officially Oracle works only with SuSe Linux, and don't work with RH.
Then in this time u can't find official information about RH 7.3.

I doubt Oracle will certify Redhat 7.3 or Suse 8.0, I think their policy from now on is certify Linux Editions for Enterprise only such as RedHat Advanced Server 2.1 and Suse SLE Enterprise 7.0
