    Hi All

How much time it requires to install oracl 9.0.1 on RedHat 7.2
I have started runInstaller 1 and half hour back and for last one hour it is showing me the screen 'Configuration Tools'.
It is showing that Oracle Net Assistant's status is in progress and Web server and DBCA are in pending. Does it take this much time in just Net Assistant Installation. My machine is not even hanged and the icon is also rolling circular way. What can be the problem

    Regards
    Amol

In my experience it takes forever to install 9i. To load it onto Windows 2000 with the default installation it took upwards of 4-5 hours to install.

For comparison, 9.0.1 on an Ultra5 with 256MB RAM took over five hours. 9.2.0.1 on an Ultra5 with 512 MB took less than an hour.
