Thread: Datafile

    Hi folks,

    Is it possible to plug the datafile of one database into another database.

    I just have one datafile which belongs to a old database which doesnot exit. But i have a copy of the datafile.

    Can i plug it into another database and see the data inside that.

    The simple awner is no. Not unless it was configured as a transporatble talespace.

    Do you have all th other files of your old database - system df, controlfiles etc? If not no..
