    Hi all,
I'm trying to create a small database (8.17) on my PC using
the Oracle Database Configuration Assistant utility. The installation seemed to be quite slow and it stalled at the point when it does the "Adding PL/SQL support" portion. Does anyone know what's causing this problem. Thanks a bunch

Need more info from your end. Are you installing it on a pIV system? If yes, there is a patch to workaround it. Or you can kill the creation, and try it agaqin after Oracle is installed without a database.

    Nizar.

    Hi

There is a log file created during the database creation look into that file you might find some more Info.

Another option is save the database scripts to the a file and execute it from command prompt.

    Regards,

    Santosh
