    Dear friends,

I am facing a problem, during Oracle DB Creation. I am having Oracle 9i, and i am using database configuration assistant to create database.

When it reaches 50 percent, i am getting error message as ' Data file corrupted(file #1, block ....) and this is pointing out system tablespace's datafile.

    Can any one help me?

    Regards

    Hi

Why dont you create a database manually using

    New Database option

    in step 2

    and then in step 8

    deselect create database option

    select Generate database creation scripts

    specify destination directory

    click finish

and then execute the scripts manually

using database configuration assistant troubleshooting is difficult

When run manually you will get to know what the problem might be and you can customize the scripts to create a database depending on ur requirment

    Regards,

    Santosh
