    How to find out ora-12154 : TNS could not resolve service name.

    Then resolve it!
    use net8 utility to test the service name. and then connect.
    although you haven't posted what you did in the configuration.

    Your tnsnames.ora file (on the client) is not configured correctly.

    Have you configured a connection to the database?

    What version of Oracle client are you using?

    The SID or Service_name in your tnsnames.ora file must match that of your database server. Depend on your oracle naming convention, you may also need to check your SQLnet.ora file and see if the correct domain name is appended to your service name. Good luck.
