I would try to export schemas that have an application data and then create another database and import data in. Did you try export applicational schemas?

The system owned tables for OEM!!!
we tried catproc/catalog too...

Okay, that means you will not loose any application data...
And I'm sure, your application also must be working fine. Isn't it ?
OEM means these must be management server tables. Can you afford to loose it ? If yes, try installing it again.
This time select a different user and tablespace.

We tried the application schemas export...giving same error.
The dummy schema we exported has only 3 rows and it went well...but the application schemas..no.
What oracle is telling it uses the corrupted index for the export owned by sys which cannot be dropped or rebuild.
funny thing is it did not throw any error in alert log for all these months and it started up all time fine.

Just an update...
individual user export...works luckily....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!okay so far..
One main user (80gig)size is exporting.....so far no errors!!!! .
So planning to copy into multiple tapes ...create the new db and import it.I will keep updating any thing go wrong.
