Thread: Database sizing

    I've been asked to guestimate sizing for tables in a new database. This will be similar to our production one. Is there a quick way of sizing this new database. I've got the avg_row_len stats for the tables......

    Table sizing is dependent on Ave Row Length and Growth estimates of # of Rows.

    I'd do this ...

    (Ave Row Length ) * (# Rows for 6 Months) = Initial Extent
