Thread: init.ora

    Hii, i was installed 9ias with oracle8i.
    But when try to configure portal,sys password problem.
    I heard some other experts ,thay are saying to disable the
    O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY parameter in init.ora parameter file.
    But i did'n't get init.ora file.
    where does it exists< Because i have Oracle9i origin database and i have Oracle9ias with oracle8i on another m/c.
    plss help me where will i get that file.

    The file normally is in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and the file name is initsid.ora

    Yes it is advised to disable O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY because if it is enabled and you grant DELETE ANY to the user he/she gets privilege on SYS schme also.
