Hello All,
We have a plan to upgrade one of the database which is running on 8.0.4 ( an unsupported version from ORACLE ), to the latest version 9i Rel 2. Here i would like to know the following from your expertise.
0. Any Known issues
1. Steps invloved in my situation
2. Pointers where i can get some valuable information
3. last but not least, Why I have to choose Rel 2 instead of Rel 1.
Your valuable inputs will be well considered.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
If you are creating your DB through DBCA, then no worries, but be sure to specify the undotbs and its retention also. From here onwards, u have no RBS and set the UNDOTBS Auto allocate uniform. Whats your OS? for the tablespaces, you can give extent management as local with some uniform size and segment space management as auto.
And this is very early to come out with any issues for Rel2. If you are on Unix, you can have a minimum of 2 Gigs SGA.
For any further info, go to OTN. you will get much more
