I have 8.1.7 and 9.0.1 version installed on one Sun server.
Can I run 8.1.7 listerner and 9.0.1 listerner seperately on the same server instead of running just the higest version listener?

If YES, could you tell me how?

    TIA

Yes, it can be done. This is specific to Windoz NT, but can be applied to Solaris as well... http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/...&p_id=151812.1

You can run the 8i listener for the 9i instance. The listener process is forward/backward compatible for 8i and 9i.

Just start both listeners up, but remember to listen on different ports for each. You wont be able to start the second listener up if it is set to listen on port 1521 also.

    Cheers
