Thread: lock conflicts caught

    I am on OPS aix 4.3.3 These entries show up in my alert log from time to time. I know they are ignored. but what lock conflicts are they in the first place?.

    Did you see any ORACLE errors associated for this message.
    It seems like Oracle had resolved a deadlock...
    In case of deadlock it will generate a dump file, where you can find the SQl which has caused the SQL, and which can also be tuned.

    that is probably a OPS lock, a deadlock would show ORA-00060

    the locks in OPS is managed by DLM
