What do you mean by remotely? If you are going to use telent then shouldn't be any problem.

    Hi,

Last time I did remote install for my Sun Box,
My Win98 PC connected to the server by Installing "Exceed"
from hummingbird.... (in microsoft we know PC anywhere)

follow the oracle installation instruction to set the display...
and of course the Installer CD have to be mounted on server..

    anyway It's possible...

The software installation went on well and completed but during Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) it is at 1% for a long... long time.

    Any pointers ?

Problem solved! The listener.ora had no HOST entry, that is why it was hanging at 0%.

    Thanks.
