    Hi All,

I have installed Oracle8i on my system. While installing I have choosen the CUSTOM option and selected Internet Directory option also. As I read in the documentation that in the process of installing Internet directory it will prompt to create a separate database for Internet directory, but I couldn't get that window. After the installation is completed, when I start Oracle Directory Manager it is asking for username, password and it is showing the default server as 'oidldapd'. I am entering the username as orcladmin and password as welcome. It is trying to connect and returns an error saying that LDAP server is not up and running.
I couldn't find any services related to internet directory or ldap.
If I tried to start the oidctl from the cmd prompt it says that oidctl is not a recognized command.

Could anybody please guide where I am going wrong and also I wanted to have my original database and OID database to be on the same server only.

    Thanks in Advance.
