Thread: DB Block Size

    I just came to know that Oracle8i does not support Oracle DB Block Size of 32K on Solaris 8. What about 9i?

    Also, any good references (links and/or books) on DataMarts and DataWarehouses?

    would you pl show us the link or nore , which convinced you that Oracle 8i doesnt support the DB_BLOCK_SIZE as 32K ??

    I tried to create a datamart with 32K block size and it failed.
    Then, I verified on the metalink and it did say that ORacle 8i does not support 32K block size on Solaris8.

    32K block size is specific to the OS platform.

    You could do a search on Metalink using "ORA-00374" as keyword.
