sorry for this very UNIQUE subject line. but i've to..
..cause i wanted to hit this thread by all members.

    The reason is 'URGENT'

why this word is used every now and then. Member's , we all are here to get our answers or for discussion on some technical topic.

Instead of this title, better brief your question in subject line. so that whoever feel he can give the answer he will surely hit the thread.

Better you all guys dont hit the thread , wherever URGENT in subject is mentioned.

    sorry for the non-technical discussion.

I'm not totally against the word urgent in the subject line so long as it also contains something descriptive. I'm equally annoyed by subjects such as "simple one" or "quick one".

You would not use this as your summary at Metalink. Why use it here?

    Cheers

There are cases when a question is Urgent and getting fast responses do help. I am not saying that people are obliged to answer them.

But using it all the time will lead to a Cry Wolf syndrome which is also not good.

We all should excerise caution while using Urgent in our subject line and use it only when really needed .

I myself has been helped a couple of times by this discussion form when my subject said Urgent even before oracle could respond to my Tar.

    Thanks

Its always better having the relevant oracle phrase in subject line. That way if any one wants search forum threads on a particular topic, there will be more hits on the right topic and there by one has to go thru/search minimum no of threads to solve the problem. Hope it makes sense and members follow...
