Thread: 9i Rel 2 Questions

    I have a few questions:

    1. Should I create a new Oracle home for the new binaries?

    2. This is NOT a PATCH but a new product from release 1 - True?

    3. Should I create new UNIX directories to 1. uncompress and cpio (a disk1 directory, a disk2 directory, a disk 3 directory)?

    4. Do i run runInstaller installer from the disk1 directory?

    5. I should get a CD burner to create 3 cd's - true?

    2. Yes
    3. Yes, Disk1, Disk2, Disk3 (notice case)
    4. Yes
    5. If you already have them on disk, why?
