    Unhappy

    Hi,
I have set my undo_tbs to 1.2gb. It should be release back the space after the process (that taken 700M) commited, rite?
But I notice that there are nothing change to reduce the freespace of the undo_tbs. Would it mean that the undo_tbs will keep on increasing?
    Please advise
    Thanks

    limit the file size!

Once the file of a tablespace is increased it won't decrease back. So if it's gone to 1.2 GB you have two options
    1) Set the AUTOEXTEND option of the file to FALSE to stop it from increasing more in size.
    2) Resize the datafile to a lesser size and fix its size with the above mentioned option.

    Decrease undo_retention parameter.
