Thread: Renaming SID

    I like to rename the system identifier (SID) of one of our databases to a different name. What will be the pros and cons of such a task? This is a fresh install and no user objects have been developed yet except the database objects.
    Please I will appreciate step by step guideline from those who have done this. This is on Oracle 9i rel. 1 (9.0.1.1.1).
