Thread: 8.1.7 and the Apache server

    I have just upgraded one of my database servers to 8.1.7. Please could someone give me some insight to the following:

    1. Things I need to know from teh administration and maintenance side about the APache Server.

    2. How do I stop and start the Apache server.

    3. Can I remove/permanently stop the APache Server on the Linux machine? ANd how would it effect the functioning of my database?

    Yes you can remove apache completely but for that u'll have to rerun the rinInstaller and explicitly disable the options related to http: and web
