    Hi Guru's,

I am new to NT environment. Now I need to create a database on NT box, on which already one database is running. How can I create another database on same box? Please tell me the steps to complete this task. Your help in this regard highly appreciated.

    Thanks In Advance.

    Hi,

Use Oracle Database Configuration Assistant. It is a GUI method of creating a database.

It's basically the same as UNIX except the oradim.exe is used to setup a new service to run the Oracle instance.

    Hi DBA guru's

I apologize for the delay in responding. Job successes fully done. Thank You Very Much.

But, I have small doubt, is it required to set remote_login_passwordfile = exclusive, because, I tried with uncommenting the same, I got the insufficient privileges error while database creation.

Please clear me in this regard.

    Thanks Once again.

Change remote_login_passwordfile = exclusive to remote_login_passwordfile = none and run the "create database" statement. If no success, then post here the init.ora with which you have nomounted the database.
