    The oratab file is located in

    /var/opt/oracle

    The automatic startup and shutdown uses the entries in this table, and the intelligent agent uses this info if you have OEM set up for multiple nodes.

    In Solaris --> /var/opt/oracle/oratab
    In HP-UX --> /etc/oratab
    In Linux --> /etc/oratab
