Thread: auto startup

    !hi


    I install Oracle 9i on winNT .4

    I have my default database. I shutdown it

    and fire these command in command prompt :-

    NET START ORACLESERVICESORA9I

    these command start's only instance know but it startup the database. how it possiable. how can i set it to my normal database which is created by me.

    Hi,

    Use regedit to confirm the autostart setting is TRUE

    eg.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME0\ORA__AUTOSTART = TRUE

    Hi,

    Actually you don't need to change that also.
    When u create the Service these registry parameters are set automatically(unless
    you explicitly set it as manual).
