Thread: local extents on all tablespaces except SYSTEM ????

    on our database, should we use local extents on all tablespace except SYSTEM tablespace ???

    Another word, should we use local extent for rollback tablespace, temp and all of the database files ???

    start with TEMP as locally managed.

    for the other tablespaces use extent managment that makes sence for the objects they will store.

    I am not clear of what you are trying to say. Are you saying that I should use TEMP tablespace with LOCAL EXTENT??? what about ROLLBACK tablespace ???

    dont use LMT with RBS, there are several bugs unless they are fixed in 8.1.7.4

    That's true. And 8.1.7.4 will be BTW the last patch set for 8.1.7.
