Dedicated server uses a specific server process for each user connection, while shared server uses a pool of server processes to serve all user coneections.

In case of Distributed d/b, multiple databases function toegether as one logical d/b

In a distributed database environment, data in two or more databases is accessible as if it were in a single database.

Distributed d/b scale well, fault tolerant and independent of each other.
