Hi ,
I'm trying to implement a multimaster replication for our database here. Can someone provide me with info on how to do the backups for this system. If I have two master sites , one in UK and the other in US, how will I do the backup?? Should it be done at each end?
Please advise.
Thanks a lot

Yes!
You can do hot backups OR if one site is down due to cold backup or even a site crash, the working site will collect it's DML transactions in the deferred queue until the other site comes online. When the other site comes on-line, the propogation (the PUSH job) will begin.
Make certain that the tablespace that REPADMIN writes to can handle a few hours of building deferred transactions.
