    Hi,

    Can somebody explain what is double caching ? Is this only on Unix or NT too.

    an examle is :

    Operating system cache and SCSI cache hold duplicate data.
    Once you have eliminated all of the impossible,
    whatever remains however improbable,
    must be true.

    What sureshy is talking about..is the fact that the OSe has cache where data is stored and the SCSI has its own cache where it stores data. We had this problem and we turned off the OS cache which increased our Throughput.
