The 8.1.7 databases in my environment use WE8ISO8859P15.

The applications require the ability to use characters from German, French, and possibly Spanish.

I am creating my first 9i database and want to map the old character set to its 9i equivalent.

UTF8 would work, but it seems like overkill.

Any ideas?
