Hi,
I am trying to config the oracle 8i Ent. Ed. under win2k server to work behind firewall with NAT.
I have read the doc about the connection manager and the use of cman.ora.
There are 3 utilities of connection managers:
http://technet.oracle.com/doc/networ...ch2.htm#997411
But I can't find any of these exe files in my computer.
Are they installed separately? or together with net8?
I have done the modification of tnsnames.ora and cman.ora
for outside world to get into my internal network. But
when I use netstat, I see the connection to 1610 or 1630 is "Time_Wait". No one can connect it.
This link provides some information on how I set my network http://gennick.com/lock_the_door.html
Any help is appreciated.

There are installed as part of the networking installation. When you are installing the software, you must check the "Connection Manager" option. (I think you have to expand one of the "Net8" options to get all the available install options)

When cman is running, there will be a cmgw process. If you don't have the cmctl executable, you probably don't have it running.
