    Hi,

Should the user System be attached to the System table space or is it advisable to attach it to some other.

    Please suggest.

Also whats the difference between sys and system.

I know sys is the super user but what is system.

    Thanks

system is just a user with special privileges.
you can store yr data in the system tablespace.

Yes, you can, but it is better to make it's default tablespace another than system tablespace.

By default, system is the user who has the right to access sys objects. It is wise to set system user on other tbs rather than the system tablespace.

WEll to start with he's the owner of the data dictionary tables.
So all the base tables and data dictn views are are stored in his schema SYS.
Besides alterations to the storage parameters oracle advises the KEEP OFF option for this user.

Sure he is! And this is exactly what Tarry was saying. You've asked about SYS user and Tarry's response was about SYS, not SYSTEM....
