Hi Everyone,
I am presently working as a developer in a Software Company.If i get a chance to switch over to a big Non IT related organisation in which i have to work in the system division as Developer/DBA,What do you say will it be wise.The compensation is also quite good but the only thing that is troubling me is that it is a Non IT org.

Go for it provided your old company wouldn't miss your expertise much. In my own case, my old company had several developers and I was only doing customization in Oracle Apps until the opportunity for Developer/DBA position opened up for me somewhere else. Now I work as Apps Developer/DBA. It's an upgrade.
