I used the practice exams from http://www.selftestsoftware.com
and found them to be pretty close to the actual exam.

The first chapter of "Oracle8i Certified Professional DBA
Practice Exams" by Couchman covers the SQL PL/SQL exam
and is available free from the Osborne website.

    Hi,
Cocentrate more on Subqueries(Multicolumn queries, inline views).
    You can more tricky questions.
Ha never forger to remember Syntax of Sql statements.
They really prick you on Synax errors.
You can find so many sites.
    Say anysites.com
    exxams.com
Boson software (Better yoy make a search).

Make a searh like on Google giving
    SQL questions
    1Z0_001 questions
    PL/SQL tricks

Even Oracle press book will help youa lot

    Thanks guys for your input.

There are lots of functions and other stuff, do I need to memorize all of them? I am wondering if the exam will
test my memory or understanding. Thanks.

    Definitely learn functions and subqueries

Chapter 3 in the ILTS is the biggest pain in the @ss (functions, functions, functions). I also recommend getting extremely competent with the subqueries, some of your trickiest questions will be related to them. The exam will test you from several different angles in order to test your conceptual understanding of these types of queries.
    good luck

    Buy the 1z0-001 at http://www.selftestsoftware.com.
    It's 30% discount now.........
I'm taking my 001 next tuesday(at least that's my plan.....

But i guess it shud be ok!!!!!!!!! And the rest of the guys are pretty right the subquery can be mind boggling...sometimes it ends up bewing a damn simple syntactical error while you're looking into something else....

But best thing will be to just the last day skim thru all the q's /practice q's till you've a 100% score...

I carry the first 5 chapter's of the sql ref whereever i go.. in train everywhere...

    Hi..

I took this exam yesterday and got pretty good score too and this was my first one.Yes subqueries were little tricky.
Apart from those 3 everything was pretty easy and simple.

    Unhappy

    hi, prodadmin:

How long did it take for you to prepare and finish this exam?
There are so many stuff to memorize, I am really overwhelmed. I am wondering if I just need to install some memory chips in my brain so that I can digest this whole book.
