    Question

    hi

    i m new here...I have cleared the first two papers in OCP 8i DBA. I take exactly one month to finish each paper.

    Wow ...u folks really ripped that fellow from japan asking for ILT's.

    I am right now studying for 1Z0-026.
    Below are few questions ....which I can't figure out the answers. Kindly help me.
    I have marked my answers....do correct me if I m WRONG.

    Please note these questions are NOT DUMPS.

    1>when is a request sent to the listener
    a) after every call *****
    b)before every call
    c)after name resolution
    d)before name resoluation

    2>Which parameter is specified in Server and Client in Local Naming method
    a) protocol
    b)database alias *****
    c) sqlnet.ora
    d)tnsnames.ora

    3>Net8 Assistant can be used to configure a region database to be used by a Names Server. Which two methods can be used to populate the database with service name? (Choose Two)
    A.*Net8 Assistant can be used to load service name.
    B.Service names can be read from an existing sqlnet.ora file.
    C.*Service names can be read from an existing tnsnames.ora file.
    D.Service names can be loaded by issuing the NAMESCTL>reload command.
    E.Service Names are loaded dynamically when the Names Server is restarted

    o.k., some of these questions are weird...and redundant...but here we go:

    1. Wrong: C. After Name Resolution

    2. Weird question, but my best guess is either 'Protocol' or 'SQLNET.ora'

    3. Correct

    4. Wrong: C. TNSNAMES needs to be specified first for LOCAL...HOSTNAME is for the host naming method.

    5. Correct (same question as #3)

    6. Correct...one response queue per dispatcher (total of one request queue...regardless of number of dispatchers.)

    7. poor question...close to #3 and #5...correct answers are A & D.

    Do a search on this forum. There were a few threads with Net8 questions. Net8 was the easiest exam for me so far. Good luck.
