Thread: Oracle-Windows XP

    I have oracle 8.1.7 as per oracle it is not certified for XP.
    Does any body has install oracle 8i on XP ?
    Is there any work around to install it.

    We had a linux which is not certified by oracle but still we able to install it.

    Will any body share there experience ...
    Windows XP home edition.

    who said that linux is not certified by ORACLE. Oracle is having the database for LINUX. Oracle 8.1.5, 8.1.6, 8.1.7 and even 9i.

    and now u can install oracle 9i on XP PRO.

    Oracle is now certified on Linux, but not yet on XP

    omegamark - hey will you please share your experiecne I have windows XP home edition.

    Also oracle certified with certain linus not what we have ..debian linux .
