    Which errors did you have?

Have you set the environment variables before run svrmgrl?

    Hello,

Did you configure the listener and the TNS. Try this command to see if all it's OK :

    tnsping

Assuming that you have created a db try to use the net8 facility to configure the local service name or do it alternatively in the tnsnames.ora file.test it thru net8.

    is ur listener running?
check it in the services or with the prompt >lsnrctl status
then start it if it wasn't started .

    It shud help.
