    Hi all,

I'd like to do a custom install of Oracle client since all I need is Net8 and ODBC driver. I checked all the available components for custom install, and can't find which one I should choose to install ODBC driver. Any idea?

If I pick Client install for Application User, then the Oracle ODBC driver will be installed. However, I still can't find which component did that in the list of installed products.

Thanks in advance for your help...

    Download/Install it separately from

    http://technet.oracle.com/software/t...c/content.html

We always do that to make sure we're getting the latest version.

    Thanks Ken.

If I do want to install it during the client install, do you know which component should I choose?

    Elaine,
Configuring the driver=CRO8 ,version=3.11.00.14, dll=cror813.ddl shud work fine.
Basically both driver and net8 is installed with the client installation.

    for vesion8.

This reply assuming that u are trying to install the client on Windows platform.
U will find the Oracle ODBC driver under Oracle Development tolls option.

    Elaine,

I don't think the ODBC drivers are in the client install. Perhaps that's changed in more recent versions.

We've always just downloaded the latest ODBC drivers and installed them after installing the basic client stuff.
