well gaga you're as lucky dude that you don't get any errors .. but you have so many gui's which one do you want to operate???
    dba studio? oms/console?

    I'm very sorry !

My aim is oms/console,such as Net8 Assistant.
I think I should backup all of my data and reinstall oracle.

    That's fine gaga!
Uninstall etc is a good practice but try to figure out the issues you need to use.
If you don't have any errors then i wouldn't recommend reinstaling the software.
    figure out the issue....
    Net8 : check your listner.ora file.
See if the tnslsnr is running.
Check in the cmd: >prompt lsnrctl
    status
    and
    >start( if it's not started.)

OMS use OMSsvr.exe to start the oms server.

figure it out withing the appliction.. there is so much to learn in oracle that it'll do you good!!!!

How to startup my GUI manager?

    Hi Wolf,

you do not need to remove software. There must be some files/link libraries missing from the GUI which is causing application to go in infinite loop instead of brining up GUI. Here is what you need to do :

    1. Run Install from CD and intead of installing software run custom install and choose software like Net8 or DBA studio and re-install the software under same Oracle_home.

install documentation is available on CD as well. Let me know if you need assistance. My email address is listed below.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
