There are definitely many ways of implementing this. Immediately that comes to my mind is the following:

At the beginning of the login (say from an application) check for the USERNAME from v$session view. If the USERNAME exists, prompt a message and stop the USER. Hope it helps.

You can create a profile and specify how many concurrent session the user can have in SESSIONS_PER_USER. Assign this profile to the user.

    Dear Sanjay and dbafreak

Thank you very much for your prompt replies.

Is there any option to restrict the user thro' front-end. I mean SYSADMIN of Oracle Applications 11.0.3 or 11i ?
