    Question

    Howdy;
    I am getting a new workstation (woo hoo!) and am wondering if there is a file I can save so I will not have to re-configure DBA Studio. I have about 50 instances configured and I really do not want to go through that again.

    Thanks in advance,
    MH

    Hi MH,

    You have nothing to do. Just save your tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora and when you load DBA Studio the first time, it will ask you for databases to add to the tree, then select the option add databases from your tnsnames.ora and it will add all your databases for you.

    Regards

    DBA Studio Configuration file place in:

    $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/dbastudio/admin and has name: dbastudio-$USERNAME.crd

    U can copy this file on new box.
    --------------------------------------
    Than (if u have OMS on ur old mashine only)
    u should copy SNMP configuration files too.
    Theese files place in:

    $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent/config and
    $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent/admin and
    $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin.
