    Hi,

We developed a web application using WLogic 6.1 sp2 and Oracle 9i and the driver is Weblogic's JDriver.

As per JDriver's requirements we have installed Oracle 9i client in the AIX m/c and have put an entry in its tnsnames.ora and using that tnsnames entry while creating the Weblogic Connection Pool.

Now when we start the web logic,30 connections are created in the DB showing the server as 'DEDICATED'. But when we forcefully introduced 'SERVER=SHARED' in the tnsnames.ora and tried to restart weblogic it doesnt start and we get ORA-24327 error.

What could be the problem? What shud we do to make the connections run in SHARED mode?

    Regards
    Perumal

Make sure that the MTS is on on the Database, If not you would want to set up the MTS which will enable your db to be on the shared mode first and then the dedicated mode if that fails.
