    Question

    Hi guys,

    We are on NT 4.

    Problem:
    ----------
I found that after I upgraded my database from 8.0.5 to 8.1.7.1.3, SQLPLUS.exe is not working.

When I give command sqlplus, it gives foll. error messages.

    ERROR:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s] [%s]

SP2-0152: ORACLE may not be functioning properly.

    Everything else is working fine.

    Any idea?

    Question:
    -----------
After I upgraded database from 8.0.5 to 8.1.7, I set COMPATIBLE para in init.ora to 8.1.7.

Now suppose, I want to set it back to 8.0.5, can I do that without any problems in the database?

    Thanks in Adv.

Is the environment set correctly, such as the LD_LIBRARY_PATH. Ans to your Quest. yes you can, but you would require to bounce the server?

Is all your apps working? Looks like a v.long down time.

We are on NT so do not have this env. variable. What's the equ. variable on NT?

I am doing it on Development server.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I resolved the sqlplus related problem by setting ORA_NLS33 env. variable to new ORACLE_HOME's NLS folder.

    Thanks,

    Sam
