Does anyone know the command to see what the error is when compiling a view? When I try to compile a view in my db, I get the error message "Warning: View altered with compilation errors." I cannot remember what the command is to see what the compilation error(s) are.

    Thanks.

    In SQL*Plus:

    SHOW ERRORS VIEW view_name
    Jurij Modic

    You can also query dba_errors.

Not every one would have the dba privileges as a result using
SHOW ERRORS would be a good coding practice to view the errors .
