    Unhappy

    Hi there,

    On 8.1.7/ NT 4.

    While installing 8.1.7, I gave name LISTENER_ODEP to the listener name it asked in listener configuration.

    So, it created the service OracleORACLE817TNSListenerLISTENER_ODEP.

    But, Now, I want to rename it to
    OracleORACLE817TNSListener_ODEP.

    How can I do that?

    Thanks in Adv.
    Sam

    i could get knowledge about this type of case from one the thread posted last week.
    you have to edit in registry for
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> system -> currentcontroset -> -> displayname

    Thanx

    Hi,

    ORADIM is for instance management and not for listener creation.

    Thanks though.
