AFAIK, you can't ...
you should export using 815 exp utility, nevertheless if you can't, you'll have to find a 816 instance :/
-
I'm not sure that can be done. I don't think there is backward compatibility with the import/export option. Does anyone else know this for sure?
-
NOPE, I have tried this in the past and PIPO is 100%

You always can do the import through the network using your 8.1.6 import utility:
1. Configure the tnsnames in your server 8.1.6 to access to the 8.1.5 database server
2. Do the import in the 8.1.6 server
imp user/password@sid_8.1.5 .....
Logically the performance of the import is worse than locally

I have done as explained above.

I think is clear, but If you don't understand something say me and I will try to explain more cleanly.

well aarroyob as you are saying that
1. Configure the tnsnames in your server 8.1.6 to access to the 8.1.5 database server
2. Do the import in the 8.1.6 server
imp user/password@sid_8.1.5 .....
I am not getting properly what you are saying that I have to import it in Oracle 8.1.6 server is it? as you have written in your second point.
But I want to import it in 8.1.5 please explain me
thanks
