Hi,
I really hope somebody answer this question for me.
I am a recent graduate looking for a part time job as a Oracle DBA on the weekend.
What kind of positions would be suitable for me to apply.
Thank you,
John K.

recent graduate of what?
college? grad school? or a computer school?
do you have any working experience in IT?
Are you an OCP?
I don't want to seem like a hard a$$....just that it would be better if you provided some background so the
(VERY HELPFUL) people on this forum could give you a better reply
Officer, my speedometer is broken....I thought 55mph was the minimum....My dog is sick so I have to get to the vet...I have to get to school to take a test....I wanted to get to a gas station a.s.a.p...All these have been tried, but none have worked..LOL

if you wanna find that kind of job it must be some operator job (looking for some 24x7 production center), DBA works everyday but rarely weekends
but a graduate working as a dba... hmm rare

Lucky you, I guess. Weekend work for most Sr. DBA's in 24X7 environments is required, if not expected.

I only had to go on weekends when there were migrations but normally dont have to
Some of my collegues are available but through pager or mobile on weeknds to give 24x7 support but not every week!

Thank you
Hi Pando,
Thank you very much for your advice.
This is the best forum I have ever been.

I am a computer school graduate.
At the moment I am studying towards my OCP - DBA
I have 2 years experience in IT , but not working as a DBA.
Thank you,
John K.
