Thread: Listener problems

    I just installed 910 on my solaris box where 817 is also installed and running.
    For my 910 installation I stopped the lsnr .

    After a successful 910 install my 817 db's lsnr is not working. I did not create a new lsnr for 9i , the installer did a basic net8 configuration in the background.

    Now I cant get my clients connect to 817. What am I missing ?


    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    I had a similar problem once when I was connecting an 8.1.5 database to an 8.1.7 listener. I remember I had to make sure the oracle_home was set in the listener.ora file. I also think I had to set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH via a listener.ora command of ENV or something like that.

    What's your error number? I remember I searched metalink with the error and found the solution there...
