    Dear friends
Here is my situation.Recently we migrated our domain from NT to 2000.We are having Oracle 8.1.6 On Win2000 Advanced server Cluster Machine with Oracle Fail Safe on it. Now my problem When ever we tried to Move the Group and Resources on the other Node the OFS not able to bring database online Node2.When i Checked the Documentation on OFS and changed the Oracle Fail Safe Security setup that when there is change in Domain, user, password need to change the security set up. Even after changing this Iam not able to bring the Database online on Node2.I checked the Trouble shooting also still iam not coming up with any errors.
can any one of give me some idea to deal with this stiruation.I dont have any problem with Node1.
    Regards

When you move the database group to Node2, does NT service for that database instance start successfully?

If not, what does the NT Even Log say?
If yes, what do last few entries in database's alert.log say?

Your instance is running on Node1. Open Services on Node1 and check which Oracle services are running (OracleSrviceSID and at least one of the TNS Listener services). Also check on Node2 that both of those services with same names are present there, but are not started.

Now move your DB group to Node2. Are now those two services started there?

    Hello jurij
Both the Oracle Sevice SID and TNS Listener services are with the same names .But when I move the Database group to Node 2 these services are not started automatically as it should, since these services are started by OFS is it?. What I observed is OFS Service is able start?.Then what your next sujjestion please?.

    1. Check in OFS Manager tat Node2 is listed among "Available nodes" for that database group.

    2. Check on Node2 that database and listener services have startup type set to "Manual", not to "Disabled"

I can't understand how "Verify cluster" and "Verify group" can finish successfully as you said - if I remember correctly both of those checking actually move database group to all available nodes, so they should report some errors if database can't be started on any available node.
