Designer6i-Very urgent

Hi,
I have got the designer software,i have installed it at the client,its asking for username and password.if i give scott/tiger
its giving an error saying TNS-PROBLEM.I am installing on the
pc.can any one let me know,Whts the problem is

You need to create a database that will host the repository.

Then you need to go into that database and create a user that is the repository owner.

Then go into the Repository Admin Utility (RAU). You will see a list of privileges that need to be granted to the repository owner. As SYS or SYSTEM (I cannot remember), grant these privileges.

There is a checklist in the RAU. If all of the privileges have blue check marks instead of red x´s, then you are ready to create the repository.

There is a button or an option to do this.

When this finishes successfully, you can add other users as repository users. But remember, they must already be users in the database.

Hi David,
I created a user under sys, and i logged into RAU .I granted all the privilages but the problem lies in table space.
Expleicitly i havent created the table space.It has generated
its own table space like DRSYS,INDX,RBS,SYSTEM,TEMP,TOOLS,USERS.
can i select one of these and install,can you tell me which one is it and it wont be any problem if i install.let me know

You should create a user other than SYS. For example, DESOWNER.

If you make the default tablespace for DESOWNER equal to TOOLS and put the repository objects there, you should have no problems.
