    Question ORACLE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

    Hi,

A San Francisco based IT Consulting Company is offering an 1 1/2 year Oracle Internship Program in Madison, Wisconsin for around USD 2K a month in my country. the job / training includes implementing Oracle's web based ERP system 11i for Financials, Projects, and Human Resources. It basically consist of customizations, interfaces and extensions of these applications.

Is this a good opportunity for me? Im currently earning around USD 400/month here. Im also applying for a job in one of the Big Six consulting firm s local solutions office in my country. the inteviewer said that there is a chance i can be assign in the US, but they cant guarantee it. We havent discussed about the compensation yet, since i still have to go thru 3-4 more interviews, if ever they want to hire me.

What do you guys think? thanks

P.S. guys its Internship not intership, sorry for the typo error=)

    2k per month seems low.

Do they cover travel expenses, housing, etc..?

Madison, WI is a nice place, but the winters are cold.

Yes but what is the cost of living in Madison?
Also, this does not sound like a DBA type job, is it?

2K a month for you, 10K a month for the consulting company? Sounds reasonable to me

Im scheduled for an interview this coming thursday, but as far as i know 2K doesnt include housing and travel expenses but the guy i talked to told be me that with 2K a month i can go a long way. Well, im skeptic about it =)

The guy i talked to told me that the program is more of a training than a job. 1 1/2 years of training is too long, but the good thing about it, is ill be expose to different Oracle Apps w/c is very interesting if ever i do get the job.

The other company that applied for will propably offerme around USD 600 - 800, but ill be based on my country, we a chance to travel.

    Im really confused =)

I think $600 in Phillipenes is much better than 2K in the US.

    Maverick,
What is the name of the company? I am highly interested in that program. Please let me know how I can apply for the internship program in Madison, WI. I don't care about the money as long as I can get some practical experience..

    Thank you
