not sure if this is the best forum for this question but what are the best books for learning pl/sql and for helping to pass the exams for the 9i developer OCP?
If you are a member of an OPN company, or if you have paid for an individual membership, your best bet is to use the online Oracle University material.

nope. i've passed the intro to sql exam and wanted to go on and do the two developer exams. i know sybex and oracle press have published books specifically for each course of the 9i DBA OCP but cant find anything similar with the developer path.
also, i'd be kinda interested to know why this was thread was deleted from the development forum? would an admin mind moving it back. i'm just trying to get some info.....
Learning PL/SQL and developer skills is somewhat different than learning what it takes to pass the developer OCP exams. The best books/material to use for those exams is the Oracle course material itself. That is why I referred you to Oracle online university (iLearning). You can also try iSelfSchooling e-Books (typically available on eBay), but also at http://www.iselfschooling.com/.
For books (publisher, title), go to bookpool.com for the best online prices.
Prentice Hall, Oracle PL/SQL
O'Reilly, Oracle PL/SQL Programming (and variations thereof)
Prentice Hall, Oracle Forms
Prentice Hall, Oracle Developer 2000 Handbook
Prentice Hall, Oracle Forms Developer Handbook
And nothing like installing Forms and getting your hands dirty.
